Spring Term 2005 Residency : Stuart Arends

Stuart Arends has lived for many years in Roswell, New Mexico. He works with simple structures (loosely based on the cube) which he paints giving them a luminosity and spatial aggression which means Arends' works, albeit small in dimension, can control large spaces. For Guernsey Arends worked with casein on found cardboard boxes and three works were on show in 'the gallery' until Thursday 3 March 2005. There is a 12pp colour catalogue still available. Please e-mail for further details
